When RIEM was founded in 2006, I envisioned creating an institution that would not only produce ground-breaking research, but also provide an environment to encourage and cultivate its students to have meaningful careers. Now in 2017, I am so humbled and pleased with all that RIEM has accomplished, and I’m even more excited for everything that we will achieve in the future.
On behalf of everyone at RIEM, we are glad that you have decided to study with us. One of the most important aspects of internationalization is the exchange of ideas. I highly value our relationships with our partner universities because they allow both RIEM students and our visiting exchange students to be exposed to new ideas. As you study here at RIEM, I encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity that you encounter. This includes everything from making new friends to trying Chengdu’s famous “hot pot”! Our faculty and staff are committed to doing everything we can to help you learn and grow as much as possible. If you need assistance at any time, please contact the RIEM International Office.
I hope that you will enjoy your time at RIEM, and even more than that, I hope that it will be an invaluable experience for you both personally and professionally.
